Nepal through to ICC World T20 after beating Hong Kong


Nepal  beat Hong Kong by 5 wickets  to ensure place in the ICC World T20 which will be held inBangladesh in 2014.
Needing 13 runs in the last over to ensure place in ICC  World T20, Veswakar hit the first ball for six and then second ball for  four , then got remaining runs with ease. Early in the innings of Nepal, Openers had partnership of 32 runs before Subash Khakurel got out clean bowled  by Tanwir Afzal. Then, On 8th over Sagar Pun got out on 22 runs lbw by Haseeb Amjad. For Nepal,Paras Khadka was top scorer for Nepal .He played  brilliant innings of 46 runs of 43 balls.But he got out on 19th over  thrugh  run-out from Hayat. Then ,On the last over,needing 13 runs ,Sharad Veswakar and Pradeep Airee got with ease to ensure way to Bangladesh in 2014 for ICC World T20 tournament.

Earlier , send to bat Hong Kong had  poor start .They lost their in-form batsman, Irfan Ahmed caught at slip by Captain Paras Khadka of the bowler Jitendra Mukhiya on 8 runs. Then, On 5th over Nepalgot second break through in the form of  Hong Kong  Captain ,Jack Atkinson on  5 runs . He was caught brilliantly by Sagar Pun  bowled by Avinash Karn. Then, there was some resistance given by Waqas Barkat and Nizakat Khan to the Hong Kong innings. They had partnership of 33 runs between them. Then, brilliant fielding by Gyanendra Malla cost the wicket of Hong Kong  of Nizakat Khan through run-out on 9th over. Again, another set batsman got out on 12th over caught by Veswakar bowled by Paras Khadka.The score for Hong Kong was then 73-4. Then, Hong Kong remaing batsman never look get going then losing their wicket regularly. At the end of their inning,they manage to score 143 for the loss of 8 wickets. For Nepal, Jitendra Mukhiya  got 3 wickets ,while Avinash Karn got two and Paras Khadka got one wicket.
