Kori Danda-The midpoint of Nepal |
About
Sikles
Sikles, a nature boomed place, lies at an altitude of about 2000 m above sea level located in the Madi Rural Municipality, Kaski district. Sikles is one of the biggest Gurung towns in Nepal. Slopes encompass the spot: Parche Dada, Kori Dada, and Taprang Dada cast tones across the skyline. Around 700 homes make it one of the largest Gurung villages in Nepal with about approx 2500 residents. It lies in the north-east of the Kaski district beneath Lamjung Himal and Annapurna II, the eastern border of Namarjung VDC, south of Sildujure VDC, and west of Sardikhola VDC. The locals call their village ‘Chili’, a derivate of the Gurung word ‘Che-Leh’. which means ‘flat pasture’. The Gurungs, who were primarily agro-pastoralists, who settled here, must have chosen the area as relatively flat. Sikles is popular for its well-maintained ritualistic flair of traditional Gurung village. Village lanes are narrow and flanked by stone and mud houses traditionally grouped in a ribbon pattern. In the past, houses were roofed by pine planks, which are now slowly being replaced by slate stone and more recently by corrugated iron sheets. Most houses are two-storied with the upper floor mainly used as a granary and the ground floor left for kitchen and family living. Additional small houses called Tharpa are used for sleeping and downstairs for cattle. This village has its own micro-hydro plant of 100 kW since 1995. Sikles consists of 5 neighborhoods i.e. Sarva, Kongi, Harpu Lama, Dharpang, and Gairi Thar. Sarva Thar decides the dates to initiate different matters including the beginning of agriculture, different villages leveled rituals, and a seasonal rotation of cattle.Kapuche Lake
It is another god gifted beauty of nature on the Kori Danda trek route as a side trip for a day hike from Sikles making Hugu Goth a rest point. All icy mass lakes in the nation are arranged 4,000 meters above ocean level however Kapuche ice sheet lake is remarkable in that it is perfectly found only 2,546 meters above ocean level, situated in Sikles village of Kaski district in Annapurna area. The temperature of the lake can arrive at freezing during winter, and the surface can transform into ice. The 0.12 Km2 lake is around 40 meters down probably the origin of the Madi River. The lake was named Kapuche by the locale Gurung people group living close by which implies "Ka-ice or snow, Pu -break down of ice, and Che -landing on the plain land". Kapuche lake's journey likewise offers some incredible perspectives on the pinnacle of Annapurna alongside other Himalayan Mountains. Once in a while, a torrential slide brings snow from the inclines that land on the lake. The lake is in a quiet climate underneath the high mountains. This lake assembles chilly dissolve from Annapurna II, IV, and Lamjung Himal and it's the most reduced ice sheet lake in Nepal, lovely and even known as a virgin lake.Kori Danda
The Kori Hill Trek is an astounding brief trek in which an unfamiliar and slightest visit trek route of Annapurna locale. It is camping to organize a journey. It is adjacent to Pokhara, found within the northeast of Pokhara valley around 40 km. Kori lies within the Annapurna locale adjacent to mount Lamjung Himal (6988m), Annapurna II (7937m), and Machhapuchhare (Mount Fishtail 6993m), and numerous more mountains. The elevation of the Kori journey is 3800m. Probably Kori Danda is the middle point of Nepal in case one see from east to west direction. Kori Danda, not at all like the numerous slopes of Nepal, isn't an enormous mountain but an idealized put to watch the finest view of Mother Nature. The slope is finely carpeted by knolls and distinctive sorts of blossoms include more excellence to the slope. From here one reaches Nyamla Pass which leads to Manang- one of the popular trekking goals in Nepal. As per the local people, it is accepted that Sota is the root of Gurung ethnic gather. It is where the birth of the Gurung ethnicity was born and spread over the nation. In case you spend more time looking around the put, you may still discover the remains of Authentic royal residences that stood centuries ago."After 3 years I was visiting Sikles and this time I was traveling with my pals which was quite different than from last year's visit. On the last trip, I vow that the 3rd visit to Sikles will be with my pals, and as per words, I was traveling to Kori Danda for trekking making Sikles a hub point. Kori Danda trek is our most awaited trek that has been postponed since we get into lockdown caused by pandemic Covid-19. After waiting for several months finally, the lockdown has been cut off but still traveling was still unfavorable due to the need for PCR negative reports. We were planning to trek in Mangsir but we had to wait for another one month so that we can travel without any restrictions and PCR negative report as per waiting we fixed our departure on Push 9 and ended up on Push 15 2077 (2020 Dec 24-30).
And this is how I begin my 6 nights 7 days Sikles-Kapuche Lake- Kori Danda Trek 2020."
Day 1 2020 Dec 24 Bhaktapur-Pokhara-Sikles
Early in the morning as I opened my eyes I just phoned Anish and I was surprised that he picked my call in a single phone ring then he answered me that he had already woke up and getting ready to depart from Surya Binayak where we were getting our bus for Pokhara. I even called Aashib and informed me that he was getting ready too. After the phone call along with Rajan, we even get ready for departure. I found Rajan was not fully good because he had not to sleep to prepare documents in his copy due to the unavailability of a laptop. He was in worry whether to visit SS college or not and to clear his dilemma we called Aashib about bus departure time. As we know that there is plenty of time we decided to visit SS college to mee to his friends for handover the documents. Before departing we informed our parents that we were leaving for Pokhara. At 6:10 am we catch up on a bus for SS and we saw the Tahalka bus has just arrived at Suryabinayak.I informed Aashib that to reach there as soon as possible so that we meet on time. We reached ss at 6:30 am and as we get down from the bus we meet his friends and handover that documents this make Rajan so fresh than before. I was willing to visit Ss college premises because I haven't seen the building of it. I moved with his friends where Rajan was at the bus stop to wait for the bus and the rest of the pals. I found the premises was so good and staying there for a few minutes I returned back to back to the bus stop. But still, the bus hasn't arrived yet. We had to wait about 40 minutes to meet the rest of the pals.
At 7 am we begin our journey, I was so happy to be with them because we are on the way to Pokhara for our most awaited trek. We begin to share our last trek experiences and other stuff to utilize the available time. I was sharing my training experiences while we were passing from Kalimati to Balkhu (during my trek and tour guide training I used to walk from Balkhu to Nathm college premises which were one hour and 30 minutes walk and continue for approx 3 months). Last day I had my master's convocation (TU 46th convocation) on the TU exam controller office premises, Balkhu where we can still see the welcome gate for graduating students and I even informed them that certificate distribution is still on till Push 15. I was feeling so fresh because everything was going as per plan where we reached Kalanki at 7:50 am and I saw an underpass which reminds me to ride to Chitwan. I share with them about last year's Chitwan ride which was quite funnier because I informed them that last time while we were traveling for Chitwan unknowingly RabiG passes through an underpass instead of taking left for Nagdhunga which gives fun for Rajan Aashib and Anish.
7 teenagers joined us from Kalanki, they were even visiting Pokhara which increases the number of passengers on the bus. I was willing to listen to the songs, but the speaker on the bus was not working well. The bus was moving at a normal speed while descending from Nagdhunga check post. While we were descending we saw a very funny scene where 2 overloaded trucks were trying to overtake each other. It seems as if two of us were raging at each other which making us too fun for a few minutes. One of the trucks had to stop who was overtaking due to which we stuck in a traffic jam for a moment. After clearing the traffic jam we resume our travels, where we saw a tunnel which was under construction. Omg, at turning we were nearly going to hit by a truck but luckily truck driver driving agility washed out undesirable incidents. We feel so relaxed that we didn't get in accidents. We were still descending and at 8:30 am we had our tea break at Naubise. I wasn't feeling better because last night I was sleepless due to a nightmare. I was feeling sleeping and as we resume our journey I begin to listen to my favorite songs. I was singing the songs which were playing on the playlists. I was listening and singing the songs continuously until and unless we reached Blue heaven for our lunch. As we were getting ready to get off the bus I found everyone had a very fun time during travel due to my voice and songs. They trolled me regarding my singing and request not to sings again I shook my head and move to the dining hall to had our lunch. I was at this restaurant after 3 years and during this period many changes can be seen like a coffee shop, CCTV, and expansion of latrine. We had given only 30 minutes to have our lunch. We were enjoying our lunch and while we were having our lunch I was sharing my last visit experience in this restaurant. At 11 am we resumed our journey to Pokhara, we decided to stay quiet and we'll be traveling by sleeping instead of interacting. As I get in my seat I just began to listen to my favorite playlist using headset staying quiet even I stopped singing songs in or order to get being trolled. I was recalling my last visit to Sikles and planning what we were going after reaching Pokhara. Our bus speed was getting higher than before due to which we reach Amar Singh, Pokhara than our expected time and even 10 minutes earlier than we calculated.
At 1:50 pm we get out of the bus where we were supposed to move ahead for Sikles and before getting off the bus I took pictures of teenage guys for memories. We called our jeep but it took hours to get us and during that excess, we begin to buy the required stuff for the trek. Waiting for hours finally we catch our jeep at 2:40 pm and quickly move for Kahu Khola. There we stay around 30 minutes where we got surprised that the owner of the jeep was performing various tasks first he was welding iron, second meat, and third loading potatoes. We were so amused to meet the hardworking person of this place and after packing all the things we resume our travel for Sikles. Like before we were traveling via Tangting the neighbor village of Sikles because the way for Sikles was being under construction we were traveling Tangting as a substitute way for Sikles. In my last, I used to walk from hydro but this time I am going to reach by jeep. I was searching the way where I used to walk in my last visit and I found the foot trails have been tuned to the gravel road. Traveling for hours we reached the bus park at 5:20 pm and where we register our name and have 10 minutes walk to Namaste hotel the busiest and popular hotel in Sikles. We reach there at 5:30 pm where Maila dai the owner of Namaste hotel was eagerly waiting for ur to welcome us. He was so happy to meet me after years along with my pals. We move to the dining hall for welcome tea and we begin to interact with Maila dai about the Kori Danda trek. I even begin to write about my daily experience while we were having tea in the dining hall and viewing my writing habits Maila dai shares his writing habits and experience about his traveling to Bhaktapur when he was in his early 20s of his age as we were from Bhaktapur so he loves to shares with us. Maila dai was getting busy to attend to other guests so we even get busy using the internet connection as Aashib was calling Sarju and other friends who missed the trek with us. We were having a very good time in Sikles and enjoying the noon. Kabin was feeling unwell due to continuous travel in bus and jeep. We found him feeling unwell and severe headaches so we left him in the room and headed for dinner. While we were having one of the songs of Nepali movie was being played on TV Maila dai informed us that Haku Kale is my nephew but we were not convinced so he called and put phone sound on the speaker. As we heard his sound we just spoke to Saugat Malla thanking him for making Newari ascent as the main dialogue in his previous movie Loot. I informed Maila dai that many scenes were shot in the alley of Bhaktapur which was even near to our old houses and at present, the alley has been changed and we may not see the alleys like before of original form because most of the alleys have been destroyed in devastating earthquake which occurred on April 25, 2015, with a magnitude of 7.8 Richter scale. After completion of dinner even interact with Maila dai about tomorrow's program and others plan about Kori Danda trek. He just clears us regarding Kori Danda's trek and after being clear out at 9:30 pm we move to our allocated room for sleep.
This is how I ended up my first day of travel with fun, recalling old memories and interacting with the Maila dai, the most iconic person of Sikles and owner of Namaste hotel (9846222487).
On the second day of the trek, Today we were hiking for Hugu Goth, the rest point for glacial lake Kapuchu e. I was sleepless due to my gastrointestinal problem and because of me even Ashib got disturbed for the whole night and I was feeling sorry for his inconvenience caused by me. At 2:30 AM I heard the noise of plastic being wrapped. I thought it was might be mice but I saw Kabin was having biscuits due to which I get disturbed but still managed to have sleep because of tiredness. At 6:30 AM we woke up to get ready for the morning hike to Sikles park or Rising Danda. While we were getting ready I saw even the next trek group were getting ready for the hike. Before moving we had our breakfast and at 8 AM we begin our morning hike escort by Maila dai. I was feeling so excited to visit the viewpoint after 3 years but Maila dai informed me that we were visiting a new place instead of the viewpoint. I was so surprised to and object to him, he replied that we'll be visiting Viewpoint when we will be moved for Hugu goth means it lies on the way while we hike for Hugu Goth. I was walking alone recalling my last visit to Sikles in 2017. Sikles park or Rising Danda was a recently developed park where one can view Annapurna ranges and Lamjung Himal which created instead of viewpoint.
We were feeling happy to be there and reaching up there we begin our photo sessions. We spent there almost 50 minutes and while we were snapping photos I saw one of the trekkers (Ramesh Khadka) was playing the flute. I approach him and request to play the tune of Tu Chale's song in his flute. He asked for the original music and as per his request I played the original music as well as the flute version but he couldn't catch the tune and informed me that he will play the tune in Kori Danda. After onwards we decided to descend to the hotel for our lunch and even to pack our bag for a further hike to Hugu Goth. We descended down with Maila dai, who informed me that Risav sir had called him and to send him pictures he requested me to have a selfie in his 360-degree camera. We even took our first ever group pic with him and then spending a few minutes on the premises of the tower we resume our descending to the hotel. Reaching the hotel we had our next group pictures with Maila dai for memories and he even posted on the Facebook page of his hotel. At 10:30 AM we had our lunch before we moved to pack our bags for the hike to Hugu Goth. I was feeling excited to lead the trekkers because I was the only one who had visited the Sikles before and knew the way till Viewpoint then onwards I was even unknown about the way for Hugu Goth. As I expected Maila dai informed me to lead the trekkers by handover walkie-talkie. I found Aasib was much more excited than me to carry walkie talkie. We tested it for fun which adds joy to carry it. At 11:50 AM we begin our hike for Hugu Goth, Maila dai escorts us for few meters informing me about the way. He was feeling so relax in presence of me because he was sure that I can lead the trekkers to the right path. I have been interacting with Maila dai since I knew about the Kori Danda. I was much more aware of the way by viewing videos of Kori Danda posted by different trekkers on youtube. I was walking with Rajan along with Sriyaz members of another group. He was feeling so excited to walk with us due to our cool interaction with him. We were walking ahead in a motorable way sharing our previous trek and other stuff regarding traveling and trekking. After completion of the motorable way, we begin to walk in foot trails. I was waiting for the bridge so that we can know the exact way of Hugu Goth. Soon after the mini bridge arrived we were walking enjoying the moments and after crossing it we took right from the bridge for Hugu Goth. We begin to walk in narrow foot trails covers by dry grasses and bushes. We reach the railing bar spot which reminds me of if we were in Kalinchowk but right at that moment we were walking on grassy foot trails instead of dry foot trails as in Kalinchowk for Hugu Goth. We ascended uphills and descending downhills which was making us exhausted and thirsty. At one point while I was resting alone I hear the music of titanic which reminds me of something which I was missing and getting more wistful. I was alone and had to walk ahead to meet the rest of the pals where the music of titanic was still playing on. I was feeling so tired that I was willing to have more rest and I saw Aashib was waiting for me playing his favorite song Ennodu Nee Irundhaal (Tum Todo Na of Tamil version song). As I approach him I requested him to play my favorite one too. He plays the songs which I was eagerly waiting for it and listening to the song I begin to walk behind him to enjoy the song and side by side he was calling Maila dai to informed us about us. Before that Aashib snapped my pics for memories with the signboard of Kapuche Lake. It took us around one hour 50 minutes to reach Edi Bridge from Mini bridge we were waiting for this bridge from where we can view Edi waterfalls this was our most awaited place of this day. We spend only a few minutes taking our snap only and move ahead to save time. We meet up with a guide from Labin hotel and then we begin to walk with him. Aashib and guide walk so quickly that gap between us was around 1 hour which shows that we were walking at slow speed. We 4 were walking together to escort each other and at mid of the jungle suddenly Anish gets back being scared thinking that whisper might be of a bear. We had a very huge laugh over him because he got scared by the troops of monkey which was jumping from one tree to another. Then after Kabin and Anish walk begins to walk quicker than us and the gap between us was only one uphill. There I heard the voice of girls thinking that Anish might mimicry of girl's voice but we got surprised to meet the real girls and I saw they were descending hurriedly for not to interact with us because they already knew that we were walking for Kori Danda which makes them jealous. Along with Rajan, we had very funny moments they were the same girls who informed us Maila dai, and few meters from us Anish and Kabin were trolling us regarding girl's acts towards us. We were still ascending uphills and after one hour 50 minutes, we met Aashib along with other teenage trekkers. Kabin was feeling excited that they were having what he was willing for. He just cleared his thirst which he was eagerly waiting for it but we were having too much fun that we just had to control our laugh viewing his anxiety. Then onwards we begin to walk in the group as we were walking in dense forest and it was getting dusk even the foot trails were getting tougher than before due to which we had to escort each for surpassing the way. It took us approx 5 hours to reach Hugu Goth from Sikles which was ours as per our expected time. Reaching the hotel of the tent we straight move to the kitchen to get warm and we begin to shares each other's experiences of today's hike. I saw the Kumari sister (owner of the hotel ) which was familiar to me but I knew she had forgotten me. I tried to remind her but she couldn't so we changed our topic and begin to watch her cooking skills. I was reminding her of the chicken stock which I had had on my last visit to Sikles which so delicious that I had not forgotten the taste and wished to have it again. After staying there for around one hour and thirty minutes we had our dinner. She informed us to have heavy dinner because we may not get as like same dinner/lunch in Nohta and Kori Danda. We were so shocked to hear it so we had a heavy dinner than in Sikles. After dinner, we move to enjoy the campfire because today was Christmas and I saw every trekker was enjoying the moments as per their desire and will. There we met teenagers from Pokhara who were the second group for the Kori Danda trek. There I begin to write about my daily experience which continues for one hour and 3o minutes they were so surprised to view me and request me to include them in my experiences too. I informed them that they will be included from the next day as we were walking together till we didn't reach Pokhara. After completion of writing, I moved to my tent for sleep which going to be a nice experience in a tent to sleep in a tent during the trek.Walking for whole days crossing uphills/downhills and meeting new trekkers is how I ended the second day of the trek.
The fourth day of the trek, which was going to be the most important one because today we were going to reach our destination Kori Danda-the midpoint of Nepal lies at an altitude of 3800 m from sea level.Yesterday we had very discomfort sleep due to the inadequacy of space in a tent. For the first time we had slept in a single tent in a trek and this was our first ever camping trek too and in our previous trek, we usually to have an overnight in a hotel too. We woke up at 6:00 AM along with the Pokhara guys but none of us were ready to wake up due to cold and insufficient sleep but forcibly we woke at 6:30 AM where everyone got off from the tent to view the morning scene of mountains. I was wishing for an avalanche because we were not having good views of Avalanche since we had a visit over here even in Kapuche lake where the chance was high than in other places. Last time we had a view of avalanche from Hugu Goth but it was not satisfactory due to blowing avalanche from the corner of the mountains.Maila dai called the rest of my pals for breakfast where I was with Kancha dai in the kitchen and I even adjourn from him to have breakfast with pals.Maila dai was vlogging our moments and we chilling morning sunlight with breakfast viewing the shining mountains. After breakfast, we pack our bags to move ahead to our final destination Kori Danda.I saw everyone was enjoying the moments by clicking pictures and enjoying the music with the morning bonfire.I begin to write my remaining daily experiences along with Santos and he requested to play my favorite songs and music with his boombox. It felt so advantageous to play my favorite music which adds joy while I was writing my daily experiences and we even share our experience enjoying the Resham Firiri instrumental music. At 9 AM we had our lunch which was taste was lighter than the last dinner and while we were enjoying the lunch we got a chance to view the Avalanche which makes us rejuvenate and new experiences in our trek. We just created the slogan “Maila dai used to speak To view avalanche having lunch where one should visit and we answered with Nooooooooootha Nooooooooootha ”. Anish manages to shoot the video featuring us which was too funnier to see our chilling moments while having lunch and after completion of lunch we just get ready to move ahead and before we depart we took last pictures for memories because we were to reach Sikles via the next route after our descent from Kori Danda. As per time at 10 AM we depart from Notha - Toya Kharka for our last rest point before we reach Kori.As same as before the foot trails were uphill and uphill which usually slow down my pace as result I used to be the last walker even walking a few minutes ahead of the rest of the pals. The trails remind me of Panch Pokhari which seems like it due to dried trees and stone foot trails (Chimti-Noshyampati). I was walking alone in the Rhododendron forest and due to exhaustion, I was walking slowly and slightly instead of stopping. I was walking with Sriyaz and Subodh, we were the last walker representing each group and I was sure that if I begin to walk at their same speed I may even have to adjourn from the pals who were just a few meters from us.I was walking alone after adjourning from Sriyaz-Subodh and frequently I hear the Avalanche being fallen down from the mountains, which makes me motivated to walk quickly with the hope to view it.At 12:30 PM we reach Toyo Kharka, where we can have the mobile network and I saw everyone was getting busy to call their near and dear ones. I even tried to call but my phone was getting a mobile signal so I took Aashib mobile to call but my call was not receiving so I decided to walk ahead while others were chilling and enjoying the mobile network. Like before I was walking with Ashib playing songs in his boom box but walking only for 5 minutes I had to disconnect with boombox due to exhaustion and slow pace.I was walking alone in dried deciduous forest thinking and missing something stuff and meanwhile, at exactly 1 PM huge avalanche burst out at Kapuche lakeside.Today at this moment whoever was at Kapuche lake might have view the stunning view of the avalanche and I was feeling so jealous because I hadn't had a satisfactory view of it due to being in the forest. After viewing the avalanche I moved forward to meet the pals who were waiting for me.They were chilling in the warm sun where I was sweating and sweating due to which I had to move shaded bushes for being cool. I begin to walk in a group after 2 hours of walk and we even walking in the group so that we may not mislead the way.Walking 30 minutes from Toyo Kharka we reach plain pasture land where we had rest for 10 minutes thinking that we were almost at our destination. The foot trails and surroundings were seeing like Mardi trek (Low camp to Shiding) due to which we were recalling our Mardi trek which was trekked in 2017.After the arrival of Maila dai, we even walk ahead where I begin my interaction with Maila dai like the before yesterday where he shares his experiences and struggles.Yesterday I had a very funnier interaction with him but today I was having a very serious interaction due to which I was even getting serious in his describe kinds of stuff. He informed me that he was planning to make his own biopic documentary within 2 years before he can get retired from this business. He was being serious towards his dream project while he was interacting with me (to make a standard hotel in Hugu Goth, Notha, and even in Kori Danda too). While we were walking suddenly he urged me to pose at the signboard of way to Kori and even whenever good arrives he usually request me to stay at the point to snapped the pictures with a view.
I was feeling timid that I had to adjourn from him but due to my slow pace, he usually caught me to take the pictures. He even snapped of Ashib while he was posing at the top of the stone. We were so close to our destination and at one point Maila dai stayed quiet and stared at the side of the mountain along with the hope of an avalanche. As he just spoke out suddenly the avalanche burst out and I even got a chance to shoot the falling avalanche. This was my first clear view of an avalanche than other's day view which makes me content and then we move ahead slowly and slightly where our interaction was still on. At 3 PM we reach our final destination “Kori Danda” while I was at the top I saw everyone was being busy collecting firewood for a campfire. I even joined them to collect the firewood which was quite an interesting task for us which continues for an hour which was making us joy to be part of this trek. After collection of firewood Aashib, Pramik, and along I took a snap being shirtless to show our abs and physique. Pramik bodybuilder among us to support him we even show our family pack stomach instead of abs. At 4 PM Maila dai requests us to set the tent we felt so excited to set the tent. We were wishing to set the tent and we fulfilled over here to make a time-lapse video. I was feeling the real taste of trek has just begun because today we were going to spend our night in the open sky in a tent set by us before we spent the night in a hotel room or in a tent covered by plastic. This was our first ever camping trek along with carrying porters wherein our past trek we used to trek in our assumption and stayed in available hotels. This trek is so special to us because we had reached over here in the initial stage (before it was promoted or known by mass).Except for Pokhara guys none of the others were known about this place to whom we have met till Hugu Goth where Kathmandu guys Ramesh along with Sriyaz decided to join us from Sikles when they knew that we were going for Kori Danda making as the main destination instead of Kapuche lake. After setting the tent we listen to the song called Mountain High staying quiet until the song completed. I felt so peaceful in mind while listening to this song and we even remember the Mardi trek where we listen to this song when we begin to descend from Mardi base camp to high camp. After completion of songs except me, all of the trekkers move for the Kori Danda viewpoint where I head to the kitchen for warmth and resume my remaining daily experiences till now. I was enjoying the surrounding viewing mountains having tea along with interactions with Kancha dai who was preparing the last dinner for us. I was writing about my experiences listening to Resham Firiri-Traditional Nepali Folk Instrumental Music which I have pre-plan to hear this song in Kori danda after reaching up here. I saw Kancha dai was making tik-tok and even video calling with his friend. I was shocked and was unsure whether we might get a mobile network over here. He approaches me to inform me that we can get a mobile network at a particular point of hills. Hurriedly I move to search the mobile network and as I get the network I call at home informing our conditions and further plan. I even post a status on social media to inform friends that we have reached the destination then onwards I just get busy to snapped the sunset video and mountains which were being golden due to rays of the sun. After that, I get back to the kitchen to resume my writing which was near to finished. Kancha dai scream with excitement informing me to view the sky which seems like it has been painted. The view was so artistic that we were compelled to shoot and also became our unforgettable moments of the day. Soon after rest of the pals returned to the kitchen for getting warmed and even for dinner too. I found dinner was light lighter than morning lunch due to which I wasn't enjoying the dinner. I was eagerly waiting to reach Sikles where Kumari dd will be preparing heavy chicken stock for us. She informed me that she will at Sikles on Thursday, the day we will be even reaching Sikles to end our trek. Except for me, everyone was enjoying the dinner and forcibly I had my dinner recalling the agony and dedication of porter's brothers for us. After completion of dinner, Pokhara guys adjourn from the kitchen to their tent for sleep and even move to our respective tent for sleep. We were spending our last night of trek in the tent for the first time in the open sky and we were confirmed that night temperature is going to be minus degrees as per the weather forecast assumption. We were getting busy to protect ourselves to get rid out of the cold at night temperature so that we may not have discomfort sleep. For the first time in trekking, I was charging my mobile in the power bank wherein other treks usually never charge in a power bank due to unavailability of it. This time I carried a power bank of Sajan to get mobile charge all time to not to miss the moments. I kept the power bank charging mobile above my head and get ready to sleep. We had a very funny conversation before we were trying to sleep and continuous laugh makes us hype that we decided to stay quiet for the sake of peace and rest. Forcibly I was closing my eyes and I was sure that none of us would be able to sleep due to the cold and this was our first experience to sleep at an altitude 3800 m from sea level in an open sky which was being quite tough for us.
This is how I ended my fourth day of the trek where we reached our final destination Kori Danda in a safe manner and gained new experiences in a trek which will be memorable moments in trek life forever.
We played songs called mountain high which adds peace to our mind. We kept quiet until and unless the songs finish then we took our last pictures to get down to camp for our lunch. As per Maila dai, we will be descending to Sikles at 10 AM and he even informed us that we'll be walking 2 days walk in one day mean we were going to descend hills and hills till we didn't Sikles hydropower area and onwards uphills till Sikles. We had our meal which was more light lighter than yesterday night I found everyone was having their meal with joy and fun where I feeling hard to had it due to tasteless lentil than before but I had it taking a longer time than others.Kabin knew that I don't like the taste and meal he was feeling pity for me and helpless to help me. After the completion of lunch, we packed our bag and get ready to descend and before that, we took our final group pic. I was interacting with Pokhara guys along with sharing the corn that I have brought to had it. At 10 AM we resume ur walk to Sikles. Aashib and I were walking late than others to chill out and enjoy the last scene of the mountains. Maila dai was snapping pictures at the signboard of the Kori of the remaining trekkers. I had already snapped my pictures in previous while ascending to Kori Danda. We took the left way from the signboard to descend and I found that I was at last among other trekkers so I speed up and walking for meters I meet the Anish who was even struggling to get down. I walk slowly but due to stepping on slippery grasses, I fell which gives agony in my left knee. Anish consoling me to walk slowly because we were descending hills and downhills. I was worried that due to downhills we may get injured if we slip or lost our balanced but luckily non of us were injured. We took our first break at the plain ground after walking for one hour where we were cracking jokes and trolling each other which adds fun to our walk. Everyone was feeling thirst due to which we move ahead in search of water but it took us around 2 hrs to get water spout. Before that, we were having ice water along with other drinks. We were walking the rhododendron forest which reminds me of Panchpokhari foot trails which were similar to these foot trails. We were walking following the one who was leading us. Maila dai was walking, at last, to protect us from bear if it arrives. Kabin was having difficulty walking in his old shoes and while he was changing his shoe given by Aashib, Maila dai throw down the stones and due to the velocity of falling stones hill was shaking. We asked the reason for it and in answer, he told me that we were alerted to a bear if it was around us. Maila dai informed us that we were at a point where possible chance to meet bear so we hurried to get down as soon as possible. Leaving old shoes as signs for the next visit we resume our descend I was walking with Anish and Aashib where we found a signboard of the way to Notha which shows that it is a long way for Sikles and while we were walking Aashib asked Anish about the names of Dashavatar of Lord Vishnu. He was naming well but misplace in numbers 2,3, and 4 avatars. This question was familiar to him but unable to answer serially and so Aashib answered as per series of an avatar. Then we begin to talk about other stuff meanwhile Subodh begins his gossips which were full of joke and he even told us that he studying pilot in aviation school (the prior day he informed he was share marketing manager) and I was sure that it was fake gossip like previous days. I question him regarding aviation, but as expected he was unable to answer me and before I interrogate him he apologizes to me because this was the second time that I caught him for his fake gossips but like before his gossips were never endings (huge laugh burst out hahaha). Meanwhile, we mislead the way Maila dai informed us about taking the left way instead of the right way, but the rest of the pals had already descended downhill through the right way (it was also the way for ground walking in non-foot trail way). We were calling them to get back but none of us answered so we decided to get down thinking we might meet them at the ground and as expected we meet all of them at the ground. All of us were in thirst that we have been walking since took our first break and we have been walking for 2 hrs without water. Maila dai console us to keeping walking to get water as soon as possible. All of us were so exhausted that we feel irritated by each other that we were not interacting with each other which makes us walk solo. I was walking with Maila dai along with Anish where we get water in water tap we clear our thirst where rests of the pals were still searching water spout and later on they even manage to get water. I found everyone was cherished to get water after 3 hours of trek. We drink cold water which was a reward for walking for 3 hours without water. We stayed there for around 15 minutes for drinking water and tiffin breaks. Maila dai usually shoots video whenever we took a break but he doesn't inform us that he is shooting out video due to which every scene has been caught in his 360-degree camera. Then onwards I move ahead than others pals because I was having severe pain in my thigh due to constant descending downhills and even overload bag gives pressure in the thigh and as result, irresistible pain in thigh due to which I had to walk in very slow speed. We keep walking until and unless we reach the place where we found local village styles home. There we rest for sound 5 minutes where we found a dog name KALE who was a friend of Maila dai. I took the pictures of the home and even urge Aashib to snap the home because it was so heart-touching that it gives us a feeling of real village lifestyle and settlement. We move ahead for the powerhouse which was our last point of hills that we were descending since 10 AM (5hrs continuous downhills). I was feeling pain in my thigh due to which it was making me difficult to control my body. I was escorted by Kabin till power where the rest of my pals were having rest but I move ahead so that I can manage to walk with them. We were at power as per our expected time before dusk. Aashib was vlogging the moments in the bridge but I was feeling worried that after crossing the bridge we had to climb up hills to reach Sikles which was just a headache to me. I was walking last along with Subodh he even was exhausted but walking was continuous at his own speed. We crossed the motorable road where the rest of the guys were trolling Subodh that jeep was coming soon. This motivates him to walk for some minutes but at one point I informed him that it's just a prank by Maila dai. Knowing this Subodh seat over there along with Sriyaz and I knew that if I joined them I even may lose my patience so I was moving until and unless where Maila dai was waiting for us with jeep before that I was snapping the view of next hills to divert the mind. I was so surprised to get a jeep but it was especially for Subodh and Sriyaz who were walking so slow in uphills. I felt so relieved to have a jeep because I was even having extreme pain in my thigh due to which I was being so slow and late to climb uphills. We waited for them for 10 minutes but they don't arrive so we begin our driving. Before moving I request Maila dai to snapped my pics with the jeep then I get into the jeep for moving ahead. It took us 10 minutes to reached the bus park and after getting down from the jeep we still had to walk a few meters to hotels. At the exact 5 PM, we reach the hotel which was our expected time to be there. Reaching the hotel I phoned at home informing that we reached the hotel and everything is fine then I got busy to use wifi. I was having extreme pain in my thigh so I decide to have a hot water break but at the same moments, the light was gone so I hang out with Maila dai and with other pals in the dining hall. At 6:30 PM Subodh arrive at the hotel full of anger being aggressive but we were having fun from his every act and aggression along with noodles and tea break. We were having a continuous laugh over Subodh because he missed the jeep where the rest of us enjoy it who was not expecting it. After 30 minutes of him, Kumari dd even arrived which adds extra joy because she told us that she will be at Sikles and even told us to prepared us heavy chicken stock dinner. She enters into the kitchen where we get busy uploading pic on social media I even uploaded my pic on social media but due to a weak internet connection, only a few pics were uploaded. A weak internet connection and even unofficial load-shedding making us irritated. I headed to the room to pack my bag and after packing the bag I begin to write the remaining daily experience. I was writing about my daily experiences listening to my favorite music and it goes on for 1 hr and 30 minutes which makes me forget about dinner. I was called by Aashib for dinner and still, I was busy writing and after completing the writing I move to the dining hall for dinner. As expected we had a very heavy chicken stocks dinner which makes me so happy than before and it even reduced my pain thigh. We were enjoying our dinner recalling dinner of Notha and Kori Danda which was so light and tasteless but we even had it knowing the agony of Porter brothers to carry all the required kinds of stuff for us. After the completion of dinner without any interaction, I move to the room because I hadn't had good sleep for three days due to which I adjourn from them to have sleep. At 10 PM I just laid down in the bed for sleep where the rest of the pals were enjoying their last night as per their desire.
