About Aama Peak Yangri
Aama
Yangri Peak Trek gets its name from the strictly huge mountain Aama Yangri. It is
obviously situated in the sacred area of Helambu. The word Ama Yangri, which
means Mother Yangri, is considered as the defender and the friend in need of the
whole area of Helambu.
Aama
Yangri trek starts from the solace of Shivapuri National park and most of the
trail stays in the Helambu area. Aside from seeing the rich culture of Hyolmo
individuals an alternate assortment of Sherpa individuals, year-round; you
will also celebrate investigating the rich biodiversity of the Langtang
National park. This trek is colossally famous in the Nepalese month of Chaitra.
On
the full moon day of Chaitra the Hylmos group to Aama Yangri (3,771 m). As a
piece of custom, they move to the summit of this mountain before dawn and
witness the dawn. On one hand, the lamas pay respect to the mother defender via
doing an hour’s long petition. What's more, on the other, local people appreciate
margarine tea, grain lager, and nearby wine.
Other
than culture, Aama Yangri trek is an off the beaten trek. It beats all the
inundation of trekkers going in Nepal. On top, this trek doesn't increase quick
height. What's more, it isn't requesting. Thus, it makes us an ideal goal for
trekkers not ready to outperform height confines as well.
The pinnacle of the Aama Yangri also is an undateable viewpoint in the whole
locale. The highest point of the pinnacle offers the best perspectives on
moving slopes towards the south. It opens up for one of the broadest
perspectives on the rambling Kathmandu valley. Towards the north, the excellent
perspectives on mountains in the Langtang, Manaslu to the extent Everest
will welcome you on a sunny morning.

vBhaktapur–Narayantar-Sankhu-Melamchi-Timbu-Tarkegyhang
It’d been only a few days
ago that I have trekked to Pikey Peak with 29 pals. It was quite fun but I was
not happy because I joined this trek in instead of Phaplu which were changed
only after we begin or trek so I decided to visit Aama Yangri after getting
back from Pikey peak. As a plan, I visited Aama Yangri along with Rajan and
Missthai. Trekking for Aama Yangri was pending from the last two years when my rest
of the pals trekked over there except me. In order to fulfill this pending trek
I was willing to trek over there.
This was the first day
of our trek as per plan along with Rajan we woke up early in the morning in
order to reach Narayantar as soon as possible. At 5:30AM we moved to Nagpokhari
where Missthai was waiting for us. We
were carried off by Rabi, Rojan, Niraj and after gathering we just left for Narayantar
and we reached over there at 6:15 am we were on time. After reaching Narayantar
Rajan Rojan and Niraj were in hurried to get back. We farewelled them to get home
safely and vice versa. We had a heavy breakfast because we were getting our lunch
only at 12pm at Melamchi. I was sharing my trek to Panchpokhari because we had traveled
from the same route along, with sharing experiences we were planning for today's trek
after reaching Timbu. At 8am we moved for Timbu everyone was so happy for the
trek. Rajan and Missthai were moving for their first-ever trek where I was trekking
without my trek pals. I was sharing previous trek experiences as well as other
facts thing about trek, mountains, and weather. I was sharing my experiences where
I found that both of them have slept so I stayed quiet and began to listen
up my favorite songs’. I was feeling worried about today’s walk because it was
confirmed that if we didn’t get any lift at Timbu we had to climb up hills as
per instruction given by Aashib. We reached Melamchi at 12 pm where I was wishing
to visit Gunsa where we could have heavy lunch but the bus didn’t stop for lunch. Instead, they stopped at Galthum for lunch. Every bus passengers were in a dilemma where to
have lunch. We were too in a dilemma where we could have that’s why we interacted with the bus driver and he replied
where I liked. That showed that there was no coordination between the hotel and the bus. We moved to Shital Hotel
for lunch and there we ordered previously 2 chicken curries and one veg lunch but
they served two veg and one buff lunch. Here we felt that even in the hotel there
was no co-ordination. I was confirmed that I’d not be having enough lunch as
expected. I didn’t have a good lunch and after lunch, we move to the counter for payment. The female owner speaks 2 chicken curry and one veg lunch. We were surprised how she
is confident that we had two chicken lunch in reality we had one veg one chicken
and one buff lunch. She was insisting 2 chicken curry and one veg lunch I suddenly
got a temper and insisted on one veg, one buff, and one chicken lunch only. The male owner knew that we were not happy and after clearing the bill I just went outside
for having momo. I was so happy to have momo which reminded my childhood
memories because of having the same smell which
I used to have in my childhood. I returned to a hotel where I found the male owner
and Rajan were communicating. The owner cleared the reason behind insufficient lunch.
We requested them to have good coordination with the bus so that upcoming
passengers might get good lunch. Bus horned out so we got into the bus and at
1pm we reached Timbu I was so worried because we were unable to get a bus and
we even missed jeep.
We had our juice and began to walk. We were walking unknowingly. We didn’t know if we were in the right or wrong track. We were so unknown in the way. We were walking wherever electric wire poles were going up to. We were unknown that the hills we were moving via the motorable way that took 6 hrs to reach Tarkeghyang.I was praying for the arrival of any vehicles because I was sure that it’d be a night if we moved this motorable way. We suddenly heard the horn of the vehicle which was truck as per informed by the hotel owner. We got the lift where Missthai and Rajan seated over cabin and I stayed over truck back.
Luckily the truck was carrying sand which made me quite comfortable to balance my body. It took one hour to reach Tarkeghyang and as per our time, we reached hotel at 5pm. We were so thankful for the lift and we even requested for tea but due to his business, he moved to his duty. He even consoled we might meet tomorrow if luck favored us. We farewelled him wishing for a meeting the next day. I was so happy to reach the hotel. While I was moving to the room, I heard the voice of Newar ascent. I was sure they must be from Bhaktapur and I moved to room with happiness because we were on time to be at the hotel. I was much happier when I bathed with a hot shower. After getting fresh up, we moved to dine where I saw a known face from Bhaktapur. But one of them was much more stunned than us when he saw Missthai coincidentally. They were so happy to meet up in an unknown place. They were meeting up after a long time and they were hanging out sharing their school memories and jokes that they used to do during their school. They informed about the way for tomorrow trek and told to carry water but they didn’t know that we're ready for the trek. At 8 pm, we had lunch in order to have enough rest. As soon as we had lunch, we went to our respective beds. Before getting into the room I informed my friends to wake up early in the morning so that we would be on the peak as per our time schedule.
With this uncertainty and luck, we accomplished our
first day of the trek.

v Tarkeghyang- AamaYangri Peak- Timbu
This was the main and
second day of our trek. Today we were moving for AamaYangri peak 3771m. As per
our plan, we woke up at 3 am and it took us 40 minutes to get ready. We carried
things required for walking about 6 to 7 hrs before leaving for. At 3;45 am we
moved for peak it was dark and the stars were twinkling. We were not sure about the
way but Rajan had informed before that firstly we should reach school then take
right. We were walking straight noticing a school building but we didn’t find
the way. We got back and take right but still, we didn’t find the correct path. We
phoned the owner but we had confused to take a direction whether his right or
our right. Due to that confusion, I phoned Aashib. He even said that he was
unknown about the school building. I was stunned so we came down in order to search
the signboard that I noticed. I was thinking the wooden pole must have written
something because when we previously there I showed up the light over the wooden
pole. But it was shining due to which we lost our way. As we were searching for
the way, I torched in the same wooden pole and moved closer then I found it was written’
A Way to Aama Yangri Peak’. Good Heaven, we found out our way. We were nearly
misleading the way. We lost 30 minutes. The other 3 guys were coming so we
assured that we were on the right track. We began to climb uphills and I recalled
one proverb “Why you are successful-because of experience, How you gain
experience-from learning, How you learn- from mistakes”. This proverb motivated
us to walk further and it is shown that we learned from our mistakes. If we were
keeping walking in the wrong way we might have surely lost our way but we
corrected our mistake returning in search of signboard pole. We were walking
with confirmation as the way was stairs of trees roots which was instructed as per
hotel owners. Rajan was being fascinating with the path made up by roots of
trees so I urged him to visit ABC trek where most of the way was made up of
trees roots and man-made stairs. As dawn began, we were so happy that we were
close to our destination. We reached yak shed where we took our first break
and luckily we were able to view the sunrise.
I called out Aashib that we were
on the right track and he shared his dream that we were returning from Tarkeghyang
in the truck I replied that his dream came true. After having light snacks we began
to move but we were getting so exhausted. The more we reached our destination;
I was thinking why the way was spiral and why we were getting so exhausted. In
order to motivate me, Rajan was ragging me but I was unable to answer him due
to exhaustion. It took us 6 hrs to reach over the peak. With struggle and
exhaustion at 930 are, we reached AamaYangri peak. Thank god, the weather was clear
and sunny as expected due to that we were able to view a mountain so clearly.
We took a picture of photos given by Aashib. We congratulated each other for our success and took each other pictures. We had our remaining foods so that we climbed down quickly. We stayed there for one hour where I was feeling so happy viewing happiness of Rajan and Missthai. They were so happy to get at the top because this was their first-ever trek and they knew that trekking was pain given by oneself to own body. We were having peace in mind but I was worried about the upcoming struggle if we didn’t get any truck. At 10:30 am we mounted down from the peak with the motive to reach Tarkeghyang at 1 pm. We were descending at a good pace so that we reached the hotel as soon as possible. We reached yak shed in one hour which shown that we were at a good pace as well as in time frame. We were stunned and thought about how we were able to reach over a peak. In a joking mood, I asked if we again reached back over there. They just replied no way. Hahahahahaha everyone just had a good laugh. Rajan began ragging me like before but this time I was fresh than before so I answered him with fun which was enjoying by Missthai. She was enjoying and laughing continuously viewing our act and funny conversation. We were not having any rest while we were descending. We were much excited to reach the school area where we misled the way. But we were surprised to see a number of houses; previously we were unable to view houses due to darkness. At 12:45 pm we reached the school area where I took some pictures of Rajan and Missthai for memories. Hilariously, again we forgot the way. We lost our 10 minutes and decided to move where the arrow was leading to walk. We remembered the shed and concrete stairs which show that we were on the right track and at 1:20 pm we reached the hotel. By reaching the hotel we handed over the pictures given by Aashib to the owner.
We didn’t find any chance of getting vehicles so we decided to walk ahead. Everyone was in frustration due to this we walked for 1 hour without any conversation and as our conversation began with if mistakes were done by each other. We had a bad discussion regarding the bus because I was willing to make much easier for Rajan but he was not accepting my ideas so we concluded that if the bus directly moved from Dhulikhel route we’d not argue anymore. But if we missed the bus and we had to go by Sankhu way then we had to get down at Sankhu and we’d get a bus at Changu. But he was not supporting my ideas instead he wished to walk alone along with a bus. Due to his own self-decision, I stayed quiet and took a shortcut because I was having severe pain in my left knee. Like the previous trek, my shoes were torn out which made so angry. Missthai was not feeling good from our useless interaction She asked for chocolates and I replied that we’d have at the red house which was nearer from the place where we had received a lift the day before. We reached the red house at 3:55 pm. We were 5 minutes earlier than our expected time. We were not having a good conversation while we were having tiffins. I was snapping pictures and video for memories meanwhile they were interacting with each other. I was feeling worried about descending the hills. I just adjourned from them, stay alone for a while and before meeting them I washed my face and got ready to walk and suddenly as like before we heard the noise of the vehicle. We thought it was dozer but luckily it was the same truck which we have lift the day before.
Oh my god! We were so surprised to meet him again and we were happy that we didn’t have to descend on foot. Along with Rajan we stayed at truck back where Missthai stayed in the cabin. This time truck was vacant due to this we were having a struggle for balancing our body, the uneven motorable way was making us difficult that we were not able to converse. Therefore we stayed quiet and were recalling the 1st day of the trek. I was so happy that we’d be in time at Timbu and we proved wrong to Rabi’s statement. He told that it was impossible to reach Timbu. Luck favored us. We got the same truck the day before to ascend as well as descend too.
At 5 pm we reached Timbu but we were surprised that we didn’t get any response from the lodge. We moved downward in order to search for the room. We met up two staff of Melamchi Water Supply; one of them was so helpful he was escorting us along with one foreigner until and unless we found the room. We entered into the lodge at 6:30pm because the owner was getting busy in their fest. We were so surprised to view dealing with the foreigner. I thought she knew much more about it than us. She directly requested a room at a cheap rate but the owner was not accepting it. It was a loss situation to all of us because we needed room in any situation so we decided to pay as the owner asked for. Then our last and final problem with the bus and we again had a bad discussion regarding bus like before. I was willing to make much easier for Rajan but he was not accepting my ideas as like before so we concluded that if bus directly moved from Dhulikhel route we wouldn’t argue about that but if we missed the bus then we had to go by Sankhu way and took a bus at Changu. But he was not supporting my views instead he wished to move by bus solely. In order to clear our confusion, we moved to Bus Park where we knew that the bus would move from Dhulikhel very early in the morning so we concluded that we moved from Dhulikhel and we’d not argue more about this which washed out the misunderstanding between us. We went to the hotel with a fresh mind that we’d be returning tomorrow from Dhulikhel's way. We had our dinner at 8pm. We were having our dinner along with foreigners. We interacted with tourist and we knew that he was on her holiday and she would be staying in Nepal for about 30 days. After dinner, we adjourned from the dining hall and moved into the respective room for rest.
This was our second day
which was quite busy, slightly aggressive and lastly luck favors us to reach
Timbu within a time frame.

v Timbu – Melamchi – Dhulikhel - Bhaktapur
The final day our trek
which was going to end and as per information gathers in the day before
yesterday. The bus would depart at 5:45am so we woke early in the morning at 4
am in order to get ready. We were ready for departure but we did not hear any
horns of a bus. We decided to move to the bus park for being confirmation and as we
reached the bus park we knew the bus was going to move. Hurriedly we got in the
hotel to get our bag. The bus was being waited for us and instantly we got
into the bus. We were so happy that we were going home as per our expected
time because before knowing the bus would move from Dhulikhel we were planning
to get back from Sankhu's way and if we moved from Sankhu we might reach home at
noon.
But we got the bus that
was going to move from Dhulikhel. We were going to reach home so earlier than
our plan. The bus was getting the crowd and getting overcrowd like before I was
feeling pity for the local resident of rural. They were struggling to get space
in the bus for reaching their destination. After traveling for one hour we reached
Melamchi. I was wishing for a break but the driver informed me not to get outside. The
way from downward Melamchi was quite good than upper Melamchi road. The speed
of bus rising and we didn’t know where we were because it was our first time
traveling from that route. I was at the driver side in a row so I viewed only
hills whereas in the left side Indrawati river was flowing down to meet Bhote
Koshi. I viewed the nice landscapes of rice farming which was the best part of that
day travel in Sipaghat. The way from Sipaghat was a blacktopped pitch. Due to that
reason bus speed was gaining higher. We expected to reach home at 10 am by
analyzing the speed of the bus. I was so eager to view the spot named Zero( 0) km
from where we entered Araniko highway and there the bus was stopped for a while. As
we entered the Araniko highway, the speed of bus rose up then before I interacted
with the co-driver but he answered that we’d stopped only at Chuchepati the last
point of the bus. So, we knew that we were going to be stopped only after reaching
Milanchwok where Rajan would get down for his home and we’d get down at Jagati.
I was sharing my last trek to Missthai which was quite similar to this
travel because we began our journey at 5:45 am from Khurkot for home and we reached
Jagati at an expected time i.e 10 am. As like that, after traveling for 4.45 hrs we
reached Jagati then we moved ahead to reach home as soon as possible. We
adjourned from the Dhara then we both moved to each own destination. I reached home
at 10am which was my expected time to be there.
That
was how I ended up my AamaYangri trek with struggle, exhaustion, frustration, and
much more. We had strong luck for the completion of this trek meeting Rabin
Chhetri Khadka (the truck driver), the one who gave us lift. Really that was
unforgettable days where we did have succeeding memories snapped out in mindset every three days.
